What's New in January

Welcome to 2012

2012 is upon us and so it is time to look toward what’s new for the New Year.

Cider Explosion
Over the past few years we’ve been expanding into the ciders of northern Spain and the Basque Country. First we introduced Isastegi from the Basque Country, then Trabanco from Asturias, and in 2011 we crossed the border into the French Basque Country for Bordatto. In 2012 we’re going even further. First we will see the release of Basandere, Bordatto’s “Wild Women” counterpart to Basa Jaun. But we’re not stoping in the Basque Country: classic French ciders from Brittany and Normandy are also on the agenda.

Under Flor
Viva la #SherryRevolution! As the #SherryRevolution marches on we have many new sherries joining our cause. Bodegas Grant’s La Garrocha Oloroso is reporting for duty, La Cigarrera is “pulling out the big guns” with the release of their VOR Amontillado and Manzanilla Pasada, and Cesar Florido is launching his secret weapons: his delicious Fino and very old Palo Cortado.

Cocktails Contest
This month we will be judging the submissions for the 2011 Cocktail Contest: Sweet Wines of Jerez. Stay tuned for the results and the 2012 contest announcement in February.
