Rioja Camp: The Movie(s)
This past September we took a trip to Rioja to meet with our growers and discuss a new perspective on the region. A small group of winemakers are leading the charge in changing the discussion about the wines of Rioja from one of process and aging in the cellar to one of place with a focus on the subregions, villages and individual sites that make up Rioja.
This shift in perspective is something that we’ve been interested in for years so given the opportunity to talk with all of our winemakers in person we brought a camera crew along. As we place the finishing touches on each of the videos we are posting them online and collecting them all on the new Video page of our website. Please take a look and watch what Gonzalo, Telmo, Iiñgo and Florentino (with special guest Gerardo Mendez) have to say about the importance of place in unlocking the full potential of wines from Rioja.
