Viña Sastre Pesus 2005

Wine Maker Notes - Pesus is named for Pedro and Jesus Sastre- (Pe +Sus), the winemaker and his late brother. This wine came from a tiny parcel of 82 year old vines blended with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Yields oscillated around 7 to 9 hectoliters per hectar. Named by Jesus Flores for the 365 publishing group as top wine of Spain 2002.

Tasting Notes - Coffee and toffee liquor-like aromas combined with rich, elegant fruit notes. Dense and seem-less with incredibly persistent fruit flavors. Lingers on the palate for several minutes.
